The main power consumer on board is definitely the refrigerator. The compressor draws about 5 amps and cycles on and off relatively frequently. Especially on hot days at anchor, when we really needed the refrigerator, we kept it off to conserve battery power.
Now we have the FLINsail , which provides us with energy throughout the day. If the panels are correctly aligned, our 2M FLINsail also generates charging currents of up to 10 amps in the morning and evening.
We've even developed a certain competitive spirit, since you can use an app to see how much energy the FLINsail generates. This way, we always find the perfect alignment with the sun. All in all, a very successful product that makes anchoring particularly easy, thus ensuring, among other things, the enjoyment of cool drinks.
