During his vacation, Lasse took a closer look at the ePropulsion Spirit electric motor. With this electric outboard motor, he was able to effortlessly go ashore with his dinghy even in strong winds. Particularly impressive was the amazingly long battery life, which allowed him to only charge every few days. He could conveniently use his onboard power system or charge the motor via the FLIN solar systems with the E-Propulsion solar charger.
Another highlight of the motor is its astonishingly low noise level – quiet enough not to disturb neighbors or wildlife. The ePropulsion scores across the board: whether in terms of handling, design, or performance.
Motor tested: ePropulsion Spirit 1.0 PLUS electric motor with 1 kW output, suitable for boats up to a displacement of approx. 1,000 kg. The ePropulsion motor has an integrated lithium-ion battery, an onboard computer, and is continuously variable.
The motor is available in extra-short shaft, short shaft, and long shaft versions. The short shaft is recommended for inflatable boats and motorboats, and the long shaft for sailboats.
