Inserting the FLIN mast slider
The FLINsail can be deployed quickly and flexibly at any time using the FLIN mast sliders. These specially designed sliders simply click into the mast groove above the mainsail or onto the T-track, allowing the FLINsail to be hoisted like a sail using the main halyard.
1. Open mast sliders
The mast slider is equipped with a loop for insertion into the groove. Pulling on this loop causes the mast slider to taper.
2. Insert the mast slider into the groove.
The mast slider is inserted into the mast groove. The loop is kept taut during this process.
3. Close mast sliders
Once the mast slider is seated in the groove, the loop is released and the mast slider closes.
Mast sliders for all systems
We offer our functional FLIN mast slides for all common mast grooves and T-tracks. The mast slides for T-tracks, like those for mast grooves, can be easily mounted on the T-track above the mainsail.
Wide groove
Our FLIN mast sliders are compatible with all common mast grooves. Whether your mast profile is from Selden or another manufacturer, the FLIN mast sliders can be inserted into any mast groove. The only determining factor for selecting the correct mast slider is the groove width.
Narrow groove
Even if your mast has a narrow groove in which the mainsail is guided directly, we also offer the matching mast slide. Simply measure the width of the groove to select the correct mast slide.
T-rails
We also supply mast sliders that can be mounted on a T-track. We support all common systems from Harken, Ronstan, and Facnor. Simply tell us the width of your T-track, and we'll equip your FLINsail with the appropriate system.
Measure the mast system
Which mast system do you use?
The FLIN mast sliders can be inserted into the mast groove above the mainsail or placed on the T-track. Therefore, the mainsail does not need to be unthreaded to install the FLINsail above the furled mainsail.
In the order form, select the appropriate FLIN mast slider for your mast system. To do this, measure the width of your mast groove or T-rail as shown on the right.
